Apex Home Care
We'll take care of your house, so you don't have to worry about it again. The same Apex technician comes on a set schedule to flush, clean, seal and replace the things that keep a home running.
For people with more house than time
Staying in the home you love
No more ladders, and no asking the kids to come over and do it.
Busy households
You know what needs doing. Six months go by anyway.
Single parents
The know-how and a second pair of hands, without calling in a favor.
Looking after a parent's home
Eyes on Mom's house every month, with a photo report after each visit.
Second homes and rentals
Someone checking on the property when you can't be there.
How Home Care Works
Free walk-through
We walk the house with you, answer your questions, and recommend the plan that fits. No assessment fee, no obligation.
Your standing visit day
You get a set day based on your neighborhood, with a text a week before, the day before, and 30 minutes out. Can't be home? A coded lockbox works too.
The same technician, every visit
One trained Apex technician gets to know your house, does the work, and leaves a photo report of what was checked and what was done.
Pick the plan that fits
Every plan includes the same hands-on work and member benefits. The difference is how often we come and how much time we spend.
Essential
For capable owners who never get around to it.
Homeowner
For busy households that want it handled every month.
Estate
For larger or older homes, second homes, and owners living alone.
Billed monthly to your card. Homes over about 3,000 sq ft, or with more than one furnace or A/C unit, are on the Estate plan. Your plan includes the time listed above. Work that goes beyond it is quoted separately at member labor rates, and never started without your written approval.
Work we actually do
Hands-on work, not a clipboard. And you don't need to buy a blower to clean a dryer vent once a year.
Air and safety
Water
Outside and seasonal
Around the house
Minor drywall, trim or paint repair means a single area under 4 inches across, using paint you supply. HVAC filters are supplied by you.
More than the visits
Priority dispatch and scheduling
Members go to the front of the line for water, fire and storm emergencies, and projects are scheduled ahead of non-member work.
No assessment or trip fees
Consultations and scope reviews are free, any time.
$250 annual project credit
After 12 months of membership, applied to any project over $2,500.
5% off labor on repairs
On private-pay repair work, up to $500 a year.
Extended workmanship warranty
On qualifying member projects.
A written annual plan
What your house needs over the next 12 to 24 months, ranked, so you can budget instead of being surprised.
OUR REVIEWS
"Had a great experience with Mike from Apex. They were professional, included a detailed quote—which did not change for the specific project. The team members were clean, friendly, and showed up timely! The work and overall quality is well done. We are so satisfied that our future projects are in the planning stages and plan to continue to work with Apex. Highly recommend."
"Incredible company, they met with us to determine what we wanted done for our home projects and designed and implemented it to perfection. The work ethic and attention to detail is why we will only use them going forward for all home improvements and projects."
"Very pleased with the deck railing installed. Mike was great to work with. The crew was efficient and cleaned up everything. I highly recommend Apex."
Home Care questions, answered
What is Apex Home Care?
Apex Home Care is a monthly home maintenance plan from Apex Restoration & Mitigation in Grand Blanc, Michigan. The same trained technician comes on a set schedule to do hands-on maintenance, like replacing HVAC filters, cleaning dryer vents, flushing the water heater, testing the sump pump and re-caulking, then leaves a photo report of every visit.
How much does a home maintenance plan cost?
There are three plans. Essential is $99 a month for four quarterly visits of two hours each. Homeowner is $179 a month for twelve monthly visits of 1.5 hours each. Estate is $299 a month for twelve monthly two-hour visits, plus two gutter cleanings and separate fall winterization and spring start-up appointments. Plans are billed monthly to your card.
Which plan is right for my house?
Homeowner fits most busy households. Essential suits owners who are handy but never get around to it. Homes over about 3,000 square feet, or with more than one furnace or A/C unit, are on the Estate plan because the work takes longer.
What work is included in each visit?
Replacing HVAC filters you supply, cleaning the A/C condenser coil and dryer vent, testing smoke and CO detectors and the sump pump, flushing the water heater, moisture checks, re-caulking tubs, showers and sinks, cleaning gutters, fall winterization and spring start-up, adjusting doors and hardware, replacing weather stripping, minor drywall and paint touch-ups, and small requests that fit the remaining time.
What is not included?
Work that needs a licensed plumbing, electrical or mechanical permit, roof work above ground level, appliance repair, hanging or replacing doors and windows, and materials beyond caulk, fasteners, batteries and weather stripping. Anything outside the plan is quoted separately at member labor rates and never started without your written approval.
Will the technician try to sell me repairs?
No. Our maintenance technicians aren't salespeople and aren't paid commissions for finding projects. Every item on your report is marked Good, Maintained, Monitoring or Repair recommended, and any recommendation comes with a photo and a specific note so you can decide for yourself.
Do I need to be home for visits?
No. You get a standing visit day based on your neighborhood, with a text a week before, the day before and 30 minutes out. If you can't be home, a coded lockbox lets your technician in.
